MY FINAL SCHOOL YEAR AT MAHHUSHE AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL IN MPUMALANGA.

Mahhushe agricultural high school is located in a small developing village in Nkomazi in a place called Mzinti. My school situated in a forest, very far from homes. Mzinti is a very safe community, very low crime rate, friendly people, everyone knows everyone, we respect each other very much. The people of my community love God so much and they also know how to have fun.
I started learning at Mahhushe 2009 and completed (matriculated) 2014. I have always appreciated my school in every way, the service, the education the teachers provided, very good infrastructure, and well equipped technological materials. My school is located in the Nkomazi region, it is one of the best school around, and every learner who went there had pride with their school.
Mahhushe is a very huge school, approximately l.2 kilometre square. Last year there were 1680 learner starting from the 8th grade to 12th grade. There was no subject diversification, from grade 10 onwards every learner did the following subjects.

ü Mathematics
ü Physical sciences
ü SiSwati
ü English
ü Agricultural sciences
ü Agricultural Management Sciences
ü Life orientation
My school specialises mostly on science and agriculture, there are few animals like cattle, chickens and pigs. We had fields where we did our practical’s, we planted vegetables, we also had a very large orchard where we planted orange trees, apples, grapefruit, lemons and naantjies.
We had technological appliances and they were working fine, we had an IT guy who helped us and thought us some few computer tricks. We had projectors in our classes and in the science laboratory where we usually watched learning channel for a lesson of life science and chemistry. In our laboratory we had chemicals which we used when doing our practical’s.  we were allowed to come and use our laptops at school, so that we could be helped with our school work. We had previous question papers and their memorandums in our laptops.
Around Nkomazi there’s no school ‘like Mahhushe, high pass rate from lower grades till matric. Our uniforms where smart and unique, were represented the love of nature we had. Our principal and agriculture teachers thought us how to love and care for the nature around us. How to love animals.
I am what I am today because of Mahhushe Agricultural High School, this school though me many thing in life, mostly it thought me how to be independent. Word of thanks to my SiSwati teacher and Physical Science teacher, they did not get tired of us even though sometimes we did not want to study or do our school work. I love them so much and thank God for them. Hope the Lord will give them strength to continue doing their wonderful work.
